Job summary

Speedy Hire PLC in Tamworth (DEPO) is seeking a Hire Controller to manage the end-to-end hire process, from order taking to delivery and collection. The role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and close liaison with stock, drivers, and engineers to ensure timely fulfilment.

The ideal candidate will be desk-based, based in the depot, and possess a driving licence with prior hire industry or similar sales/operational experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from order to delivery and collection.

• Work desk-based with other departments; liaise with stock, drivers and engineers to minimize delays.
• Build relationships to support sales and customer service.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Tamworth, B77 5PN

Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 - 40 hours per week

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they're satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.
