Job summary

Speedy Hire, the UK's leading hire provider, seeks a Hire Controller in Edinburgh to manage the end-to-end hire process from order to delivery, coordinating with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Based in the depot, you will work Mon-Fri 07:30-17:00 (42 hours/week). Salary £29,572 per annum, pro rata. The role rewards strong organisation, clear communication and a proactive customer-focused mindset, with opportunities to grow within a supportive team.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail required.

• Previous experience in hire industry or similar sales/operational role.

• Work desk-based with cross-department collaboration and stock/driver/engineer liaison.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Edinburgh

Working Hours - Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

£29,572 per annum, pro rata

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they're satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.
