Job summary

Brandon Hire Station in Carlisle is seeking a proactive Hire Controller to join our busy branch. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, helping maximise hire and sales while ensuring smooth deliveries and collections.

With a focus on safety, accuracy, and great service, you’ll handle over-the-counter and phone enquiries, support stock control, and contribute to a welcoming, well-presented branch. The role offers a competitive salary and a range of employee benefits.

• Effective communicator with ability to influence and empathise.

• Knowledge of local area.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for customers over the counter & on the telephone
• Maximise hire and sales revenue
• Cover deliveries and collections when essential to business demands
• Ensure vehicle are always loaded safely and in line with company procedures
• Responsible for appropriate branch presentation
• Carry out daily compliance and H&S checks, as directed
• Assist and attend stock takes as required

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience of delivering excellent customer service
• Commercial mind-set and aware of importance of service delivery
