Location: Outskirts of York
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Flexible Start & Finish Times Available)
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Are you an experienced Transport Coordinator with a background in Plant Hire, Powered Access Hire, or Car Rental Hire? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, we want to hear from you!

A family-run business with a close-knit team that prides itself on exceptional customer service and efficiency. As a Hire & Transport Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, working alongside the service department and engaging with clients to provide top-tier service.

Your Role Will Include:
  1. Customer Interaction: Taking inbound calls, providing expert advice, and ensuring clients receive the best service.
  2. Transport & Delivery Planning: Coordinating deliveries and collections efficiently to meet client needs.
  3. Operational Coordination: Liaising with the service team to ensure equipment is maintained and delivered in top condition.
  4. Upselling & Business Growth: Identifying opportunities to upsell additional services, equipment, and accessories to maximise revenue.
  5. Systems & Administration: Using computer system for bookings, scheduling, quoting and maintaining accurate records (computer literacy is essential).
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Experience in Hire, Plant Hire, Powered Access Hire, Car Rental, Transport Coordination, or Logistics.
  2. Strong customer service skills – you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, so professionalism and friendliness are a must.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  4. A proactive and organised approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
