A creative and supportive secondary school in Hillingdon is seeking a passionate and dynamic Drama Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts department on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire a love of theatre and performance in young people, nurturing their creativity, confidence, and communication skills.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and expertise.
- Foster a love of drama and theatre in students, encouraging them to explore a variety of dramatic styles, techniques, and performance genres.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves creatively and develop their performance skills.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative Drama curriculum that caters to a range of dramatic interests and abilities.
- Direct and produce school productions and performances, providing opportunities for students to showcase their talents and experience the magic of theatre.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their dramatic development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Drama.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Drama.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- A passion for Drama and a commitment to fostering creativity and confidence in young people.
- Experience in directing and producing theatrical productions.
