Job Description:

The Highways Technician will work with the Service Delivery Manager to develop and improve Technology Performance across designated assets. The role is primarily day shifts from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with occasional night shifts and on-call duties (1 week in 5).

  • Fault rectification and maintenance on technology assets across the Highways Network.
  • Proactive, reactive, and planned maintenance within the network.
  • Coordinate with the Lead Engineer for inspections and schedules.
  • Adjust work allocations in response to emergencies to meet response times and maintenance obligations.
  • Assist in developing maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
  • Client and stakeholder liaison, managing service partners and supply chain.
  • Manage maintenance resources and support third-party support.
  • Understand client processes, standards, and specifications.
  • Investigate and rectify faults.
  • Perform planned maintenance.
  • Comply with EH&S requirements.
  • Identify and escalate network issues or improvements.
Qualifications / Skills:
  • Valid Driving Licence.
  • HERS Sector 8 training (preferred).
  • Chapter 8 competency (preferred).
  • ONC or B/TEC in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Candidate must pass drug and alcohol testing.
