Job Description:

The Highways Technician will work with the Service Delivery Manager to develop and improve Technology Performance across the designated assets contract. The role is day shift from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with occasional night shifts and on-call duties (1 week in 5).

  • Cover fault rectification and maintenance on technology assets on the designated contract area across the Highways Network.
  • Manage proactive, reactive, and planned maintenance within the network area.
  • Coordinate with the Lead Engineer to schedule inspections and maintenance.
  • Adjust work allocations in response to emergency incidents to meet response times and maintenance obligations.
  • Assist in developing maintenance programs within the network.
Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients and customers, and liaise with service partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage maintenance resources and support third-party support.
  • Understand client processes, standards, and specifications.
  • Investigate and rectify faults.
  • Perform planned maintenance.
  • Comply with EH&S requirements.
  • Identify and escalate network issues or improvements.
Qualifications / Skill Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid Driving Licence.
  • HERS Sector 8 training (preferably).
  • Chapter 8 competency (preferably).
  • ONC or B/TEC Ordinary National Certificate in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Participation in drug and alcohol testing required due to role nature.
