Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an experienced Highways Site Agent to lead delivery of highways and public realm projects from mobilisation to handover. You will manage site engineers, foremen, gangs, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong NEC4, planning and cost-control skills, plus leadership across client, authorities and internal teams. Travel to project locations with occasional night/weekend works is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Agent on large highways/public realm projects.
• Experience with NEC4 contracts and change management.
• Strong sequencing, phasing and programme management skills.
• Ability to manage labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Good commercial awareness and cost control capabilities.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Calm, organized, and solutions-focused in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of highways and public realm works to programme and budget.
• Direct site teams, subcontractors and suppliers; resolve issues promptly.
• Develop programmes and phased plans minimising public disruption.
• Coordinate traffic management and temporary works; maintain records.
• Manage NEC4 processes including early warnings and change events.
• Monitor costs and project profitability with QS/PMs.
• Ensure health, safety, CDM 2015 compliance and environmental standards.
