Job Description:

Our clients are looking for Highways Operatives to join their hardworking dedicated team in South Molton.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, including Patching, Resurfacing, Potholes, Drainage, Footways, and General Highway Maintenance.
• Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.
• Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for daily tasks.
• Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.
• Provide direction/supervision of less experienced operatives where appropriate.
• Driving License ideally clean; some points accepted.
• A commitment to Health and Safety.
• Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to undertake manual work outdoors in all weathers.
• CSCS Card.
• HGV licence.
• New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) not essential.
• Operative Accreditation Lantra 12D not essential.

Rate of Pay:

• Overtime at 150% after 40 hours.
• This is a PAYE position with benefits.
• Accrued Holiday Pay from day one.
• Weekly Pay.
• No Umbrella payments or fees.
• Only Tax and National Insurance deductions, shown on your payslip.

This is a temporary role, with potential to become permanent in the future.
