Qualifications

  • Must have a clean driving licence.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety is essential.
  • Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy are required.
  • Possessing a LGV Class C driving licence is preferred or candidates should demonstrate capability for training during probation.
  • CSCS Card is necessary.
  • Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weather conditions is required.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake highways repairs including potholes, drainage, and footways.
  • Input safety data and maintenance records using technology.
  • Drive and operate plant and equipment as trained.
  • Take responsibility for vehicles, plant, and materials.
  • Provide direction to less experienced operatives.
  • Participate in standby rota for winter and emergency maintenance.
