Job summary

Cumberland Council is seeking a proactive Highways Team Leader to supervise a small team of up to five operatives on essential highway maintenance across Cumbria. You will plan, coordinate and oversee patching, drainage works and traffic management, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery on site.

We value practical leadership, a full UK driving licence, and relevant tickets (CSCS, HIAB, NRSWA). NVQs in Highway Maintenance or Team Leadership are desirable to support your development within

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway materials and maintenance processes
• Certification in abrasive wheels
• Experience with plant and equipment
