Job description

We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative AaA (Attend and Assess) to join our Transportation Team based in Fareham, Hampshire. Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Business Area: Transportation

Contract: Permanent, 48 hours per week with a shift pattern of 4-on 4-off 12hr day/night shift system including weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

  • Part of the response team, promptly dealing with incidents and emergency works on the network as directed by National Highway
  • Carry out daily checks of labour plant and materials sheet and ensure efficient utilisation
  • Work closely with team members to actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of Health and Safety compliance
  • Assist with the deployment of other resources to incident scenes as required. Perform other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required
  • Support with the delivery of Severe weather where required
  • Deliver routine maintenance tasks as required
