Job summary

E.ON UK Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Highways Lighting Project Engineer to drive street lighting projects from quotes to delivery. You will manage customer relationships, ensure financial tracking, and lead teams while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role requires extensive highway electrical experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach to delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with a strong customer-facing approach.
• Qualified with C&G236 and 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, with 5+ years in highways electrical works.
• Understand highway electrical supplies incl. DNO/IDNO/PCN and passively safe systems.
• Proficient with quotations, pricing documents and rate schedules.
• Numerical/analytical skills to present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Price customer works, issue quotes and follow up for review.
• Manage major customer relationships and negotiate deals.
• Ensure works are costed, controlled and delivered with procurement aligned.
• Act as escalation point for complaints in line with policies.
• Lead teams and promote continuous improvement and safety.
• Own safety, health, welfare and environmental aspects of work.
• Ensure invoicing and debt collection meet targets.
