Highways Labourer Job Description

Our clients require Highway Labourers to work with and assist qualified operatives. Due to the nature of the industry, each role requires flexibility and the ability to work both days and nights, including some weekends as needed.

Successful candidates for any Highways Operative should have:

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to carry out work to a high standard
• Willingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts outside normal working hours
• Willingness to carry out other tasks upon request
• Ability to maintain Health and Safety standards at all times
• A proactive and responsible attitude towards work

Applicants must:

• Hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Have at least 1 year of driving experience
• Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test during induction
• Possess CSCS, Street Works, or Traffic Management qualifications (desirable but not mandatory)

Hours of Work:

Monday – Friday, with shifts during days or nights, including some weekends and bank holidays when required.

These are PAYE positions, offering benefits such as:
