A leading road management organization is seeking candidates for an inspection role in Nottingham, focusing on highway asset condition. The position offers autonomy in workload management and requires flexible working hours, including potential nights. Ideal candidates have experience in asset inspections and knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to highway works.
Do you have an inspection background in highways or a related area and are looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy being out on site but prefer a regular daytime working pattern and more autonomy in managing your workload? Reporting to the Inspector Team Manager, you will work independently or with a team member to conduct asset condition and safety inspections, survey works, and provide feedback on the quality of asset repairs.
Working patterns can be flexible by agreement with the team manager, but contractually, your working hours will be 37 hours per week. The role may also require working unsociable hours, including nights, to respond to incidents.
Please note that you will be required to drive as part of your role. You must have no more than 3 points on your driving license to be considered for this position and during employment.
Ideally, you should live within an hour's commute from the depot.
