A major road infrastructure organization seeks a highways inspector in Manchester to perform asset safety inspections and condition assessments. The role requires an inspection background, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and the ability to manage workloads. The position allows for hybrid working and offers a competitive benefits package including a contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave.
Do you have an inspection background in highways or a related area and looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy being out on site but would like a regular daytime working pattern and more freedom to manage your own workload? Reporting to the Inspector Team Manager, you will work individually or with another team member to complete asset condition and safety inspections, survey works and providing feedback on quality of asset repairs.
Please note that you will be required to drive as part of your role, and you will need to have no more than 3 points to be considered for this position and during employment.
Ideally you should live within an hour's commute from the Depot. Due to the frequency of night shift working required, this position attracts 25% shift allowance.

External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
