The Role

We are seeking a Highway Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in delivering projects for local authority clients. This role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking and the ability to manage client relationships, projects, and risks from start to finish.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Highway Asset Management Plans, Maintenance Management Plans, lifecycle models and investment strategies.
  • Apply knowledge of legislation and local authority duties to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Integrate whole-life, risk-based approaches to planning, design, and maintenance.
  • Monitor performance, manage risks, and embed sustainability in every project.
  • Lead and mentor junior colleagues while helping to grow future client pipelines.
About You

You'll bring proven experience in strategic highway asset management, strong project management skills, and the ability to balance technical judgement with commercial awareness. Clear communication, stakeholder engagement, and innovation are essential, with knowledge of sustainability, carbon management and tools such as PowerBI or QGIS an advantage.
