Job Title: Highways Drainage Engineer
Salary: up to £38,288 (plus Marketforces of £3700 per annum, see advert text for info).
Hours: 35 weekly hours
Contract: Permanent
Location: Lydiate Ash Depot, Bromsgrove, B61 0QN

The Role
Worcestershire County Council is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic Hiaghways Drainage Engineer to develop and deliver an exciting range of drainage projects from localised maintenance schemes to large flood alleviation works. Salary offered is up to £38,288 Plus Marketforces supplement of £3700 p.a. (Paid until 31/3/28 when this will be reviewed)

You’ll be working in our friendly and knowledgeable Highways Drainage team who willsupport your development and get the most from your experience of highway drainage techniques. There are lots of opportunities for progression too, with our great career pathways.

Using your sound technical and practical problem solving skills, you’ll be keeping our roads safe by assessing existing highway drainage infrastructure and continue its ongoing improvement and maintenance You’ll be advising other team members, going out on site visits and liaising with talented Engineers and technicians to deliver a range of highways drainage activities.

You may on occasion be working out-of-hours for which you will be paid for and you’ll be part of making a difference for the people of Worcestershire by supporting major incidents such as severe weather events.
