Job summary

Lanes Group Ltd is seeking a Drainage Engineer for the Sapphire Utility Solutions division in Andover, Hampshire. You will operate jetting and vacuum units, support CCTV investigations, and clear blockages across highways as part of a two-person crew.

The role is outdoor and varies by day, with 50 hours per week, Monday–Friday, and occasional nights away. CPC licence, 7.5T driving licence, and a hands-on data-entry approach using a company tablet are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening and communication skills required.
• Team player essential for effective two-person operational teams.
• Competent IT skills with accurate data entry and tablet use.
• CPC Licence is required for role duties.
• 7.5T Class C1 driving licence is essential (points limit applies).
• Tacho is required for driving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate high specification jetting and vacuumation units in a two-person team.
• Carry out remote CCTV investigations to assess underground pipes and sewers.
• Use high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages in drains and sewers.
• Liaise with customers and update electronic records.
• Ensure safety issues are reported and conduct vehicle/equipment checks.
• All work involves outdoor duties and occasional national travel as required.
