Job Description

Are you a Civil Engineering Technician based in London with a specialization in transport and highway design? Our client, a specialist transport planning consultancy, is seeking a motivated Highways CAD Technician to join their team in London. The firm works on various development planning projects, including gallery extensions, garden villages, new ports, and sporting complexes. They are committed to the development and progression of their employees.

• Over 2 years of experience in highway design
• Proficiency with AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Partners/Managers with design work and team collaboration
• Create preliminary/concept junction designs, including priority junctions, ghost island arrangements, and roundabouts
• Perform swept path analysis and vehicle tracking
• Conduct site visits with Project Managers
• Interpret traffic, speed, and topographical survey data to inform highway designs
• Contribute to technical reports, including Stage 1 RSA briefs and designer responses
