Job summary

Cheshire East Council is seeking a Highway Client Team professional to oversee audit programmes that support the Council’s Corporate Plan and its priority to deliver a safe, well-maintained transport network. You will drive improvements with the Highway Service Contractor and 3rd parties, monitor quality, and report issues as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or comparable with extensive proven relevant experience within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Extensive experience of managing and designing highway schemes.
• Extensive work experience in highway design and construction.
• High level communication skills to work with contractors, colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage highway service audit programmes to support delivery of Corporate Plan objectives.
• Drive and sustain customer focus; ensure highway works and designs meet required standards.
• Develop quality-related performance measures and report identified issues.
