Highways & Active Travel Practice Manager, Birmingham

Join our team as a Practice Manager within our Highways and Active Travel sector, where you'll play a key role in shaping future mobility solutions. Our major clients include Highways England, Transport Scotland, and others, providing opportunities to work on high-quality civil and structural designs across various projects.

We offer flexible working arrangements, typically from AtkinsRéalis offices in Birmingham, Derby, or Nottingham, 2-3 days a week.

Your Purpose:
  • Grow and lead the Midlands team, engaging with clients and promoting our technical capabilities.
  • Motivate and develop team members through performance and career development plans.
  • Collaborate on programmes like Design Transformation and Net Zeros to enhance our capabilities.
  • Manage resources effectively to meet budget and productivity goals.
  • Act as Hiring Manager, ensuring a flexible workforce through permanent staff or supply chain.
  • Coordinate work flow with the GTC in India and liaise with the Practice Director on resource needs.
  • Support staff development and knowledge sharing within the team.
