We are currently seeking a dedicated, energised, and innovative individual to join our dynamic team as the Highways Traffic Safety Manager to direct and lead the Highway Traffic Safety Team with specific responsibility for staff culture and development, service performance and delivery.


This exciting role will direct the work of the Highway Traffic Safety Team in the areas of active travel, road safety, school crossing patrol provision, road safety education, publicity, speed management strategy, traffic management and accident investigation. Delivering cycling, walking and public transport infrastructure for North Lincolnshire Council.


The successful candidate for this diverse role will require broad experience of highways and road safety, project and programme management, stakeholder engagement and industry leading best practice, to deliver the best outcomes for the people and place of North Lincolnshire.


The Highways Traffic Safety Manager will be crucial in enhancing the safety of North Lincolnshire's highways, as well as supporting road safety education. North Lincolnshire Council has a substantial capital programme aimed at highways, integrated transport and active travel for pedestrians and cyclists. This role will be pivotal in shaping the vision for highways traffic management and safety and ensuring the effective use of government-allocated capital funds to achieve the expected outcomes and associated benefits. This will support the Council's transformation and help deliver the aspirations outlined in our Council Plan.
