Local Government Reorganisation
Surrey County Council is preparing for Local Government Reorganisation, which will implement the Government-led policy of devolution, giving more powers to local areas.
Currently, Surrey has a two-tier system with 11 district and borough councils and a county council, responsible for different services. These will be reorganised into fewer unitary councils in April 2027. This role will transfer to the new councils with all existing terms and conditions.
Join our team to shape the future of local government and make a lasting impact through innovative solutions and improved community services.
