Lead the design and delivery of highway improvement projects, ensuring quality, budget and programme targets are achieved.
Manage Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultations, ensuring legal compliance and effective stakeholder engagement.
Investigate and respond to TRO objections and enquiries, providing balanced recommendations.
Provide expert advice on traffic regulation orders, highway signage and road markings.
Review externally designed traffic and highway schemes to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
Work closely with Construction and Commercial teams to support productivity, profitability and project delivery.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all activities.
HNC/NVQ Level 4 in Civil Engineering (or related discipline), or equivalent experience in a highway/traffic design environment.
Proficient in CAD software and specialist design and data management systems.
Strong knowledge of traffic signing, road markings, pedestrian crossings, traffic calming and relevant design standards.
Understanding of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), associated legislation and statutory processes.
Knowledge of health & safety, traffic management and relevant highway engineering legislation.
Experience producing reports and working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues to deliver successful outcomes.
Full UK driving licence.
