A little more about your role…

Your role will be to support Norfolk County Council’s programme of Developer funded projects, using your technical skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency. You will:

• Support the Team Manager in ensuring we deliver a first-class service to both Norfolk County Council and developers.
• Undertake the feasibility and design of a varied range of highway projects.
• Work with developers to technically review and approve Section 278 and S38 submissions to the authority.
• Accurately discharge the Designer duties CDM 2015.
• Support the WSP Commission Manager as needed.
• This role involves working at the client office located in County Hall, Norwich, once or twice a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the rest of the week.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

• Experience as a design engineer in a highways design team.
• Highways design and construction supervision in a local authority environment.
• Experience of highways design using AutoCad, MX, Civils 3D, Micro Drainage or similar.
• Experience working in a local authority environment.
• Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts.
• A degree in Civil Engineering and achievement or working towards incorporated status of a relevant professional institution.
