Matchtech Group is seeking a Highway Engineer on a contract basis in the Hull area. You will design and deliver highway schemes from feasibility through to construction, creating 2D and 3D drawings with AutoCAD and Site3D.

Your role includes preparing NEC4-based contract and tender documentation, supervising sites, and coordinating with utilities, permit teams, and senior stakeholders. You will also perform feasibility studies, cost estimating, and support capital programmes.

Qualificações

• Experience delivering highway improvement and maintenance schemes.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contract documentation and BoQs.
• Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders and manage site progress.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake design and delivery of highway improvement schemes from feasibility to completion.
• Produce 2D/3D designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Site3D.
• Prepare NEC4 contract and tender documentation including BoQs and specs.
• Supervise sites, provide technical support and respond to contractor queries.
• Take site measurements, assess works and review payment applications.
• Coordinate with statutory undertakers, Permit Team, Elected Members and consultants.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare cost estimates with budget monitoring.
• Support Highway Capital Programmes including carriageways, footways, signals and safety schemes.
• Provide professional highway engineering advice to management and juniors.
• Offer ad hoc contract support for Major Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake the design and delivery of highway improvement and highway maintenance schemes, from feasibility through to construction and completion.
• Produce 2D and 3D engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD and Site3D.
• Prepare contract and tender documentation in accordance with NEC4, including specifications, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), works information and associated documentation.
• Undertake site supervision, providing technical support and responding to queries raised by contractors and Clerks of Works during construction.
• Undertake site measurements, assess completed works and review contractor payment applications.
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including statutory undertakers/utilities, the Permit Team, Area Teams, Elected Members, senior officers, contractors and consultants.
• Undertake feasibility studies, preliminary design and detailed design, including preparation of cost estimates and ongoing budget monitoring.
• Support the development and delivery of Highway Capital Programmes, including carriageway and footway schemes, traffic signals, highway improvements and road safety schemes.
• Provide professional and technical highway engineering advice to senior management, stakeholders, and colleagues, while supporting and providing technical guidance to junior members of the team.
• Ad hoc contract support for Major Projects (technical advise / meeting attendance etc).
