This series exists to provide and preserve a safe and efficient transportation system for the traveling public. Positions will be assigned based on experience and qualifications listed below.
Highway Operations Worker: 6 months of related experience including operation of motorized vehicles, pavement care, signings, landscape care, etc.
Highway Operations Tech 1: 1 year of related experience with similar duties.
Highway Operations Tech 2: 2 years of related experience.
Highway Operations Tech 3: 3 years of related experience.
Requirements for all positions: Must obtain Arizona CDL (Class A) within specified timeframes, including endorsements for tanker vehicles.
Registration with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse required. Must respond to emergency call outs, capable of lifting/carrying 50 lbs., and possess a valid driver’s license and insurance as per requirements.
