Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust seeks an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to support Older Adults with communication difficulties and dysphagia in Slough and Bracknell community services. You will develop treatment plans, provide specialist advice, and work across two diverse localities with mobile and agile working arrangements.

• Working closely with MDT colleagues to provide specialist advice on communication and swallowing issues.

Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work with Older Adults presenting with communication difficulties and dysphagia within the Slough and Bracknell OPMH Community Services. The teams support patients with both dementia and functional mental health difficulties.

You will need to provide specialist clinical advice and support regarding communication, differential diagnosis assessment & dysphagia, as well as develop related treatment plans for our patients. SLT intervention will be in conjunction with other Care pathways and treatment provided.

• Providing assessment, advice and support to patients with communication difficulties that are currently open to the service (one to one and in groups). Developing, monitoring and reviewing related treatment plans.
• Working closely with and supporting colleagues within the MDT, providing specialist advice and support around communication and/or swallowing issue
