NHS Jobs is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (Band 7 equivalent) with a degree in Speech and Language Therapy, HCPC registration and RCSLT membership. You will assess and manage complex neurology and neurodegenerative conditions, and apply Positive Behaviour Support with person-centred planning.

Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (Band 7 equivalent)

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with:

• A degree / postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in Speech and Language Therapy
• Registration with HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
• Membership of the RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists)
• Competency to independently assess and manage EDS needs (strongly desired development and training in this field can be offered if required)
• Experience in the field of neurology and / or neurodegenerative conditions evidenced by high level of clinical SLT knowledge but those with transferable skills will be considered
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support with an emphasis on person-centred planning
• Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others
• Excellent communication / time management skills
