Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Voice

We have a unique and appealing vacancy for a Band 7 Clinical Voice Specialist, to join our friendly, innovative, and supportive adult team. You will manage, provide, and continue to develop a high-quality voice therapy service for out-patients in Conwy & Denbighshire, working closely with ENT.

There are opportunities to work flexibly and to offer virtual appointments to patients.

We provide supervision, PADR, CPD, training, and career development opportunities. We share patient stories and compliments.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job
  • Lead, manage, deliver, and develop a quality outpatient voice therapy service for adults in Conwy & Denbighshire.
  • Provide highly specialist therapy to patients with dysphonia and other laryngeal dysfunctions, such as ILO / VCD or chronic cough.
  • Optimize service delivery, standards of best practice, and successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with ENT within MDT, liaising with other disciplines, services, and GPs.
  • Deliver therapy 1:1 or in groups, face-to-face or virtually, with scope for hybrid working.
  • Participate in a Joint Voice Clinic at Glan Clwyd Hospital, up to 3 times per month, with opportunities for flexible nasendoscopy examinations.
  • Provide advice, upskill, supervise other SLTs, and educate MDT professionals.
  • Access management supervision, PADR, team meetings, clinical supervision, and educational opportunities.
  • Undertake CPD and participate in the Voice Centre of Excellence Network.
  • Support career development and work flexibly to meet service needs.
