An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated, enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to develop skills in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders related to Head and Neck Cancer. The position is based within the multidisciplinary Head and Neck Centre at University College Hospital. The post involves working with a team of 8 SLTs, including specialists and a consultant speech and language therapist for head and neck. UCH is a national tertiary referral centre for various specialties, including head and neck cancer and sarcoma. The hospital also offers Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) for adults, including treatments for brain tumours, lung, and oesophageal cancers. UCH has strong links with UCL Medical School, The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and The Royal National Ear Nose and Throat and Eastman Dental Hospitals. It also functions as a District General Hospital serving Camden and Islington, which are culturally diverse boroughs with multi-ethnic, bilingual, and multilingual communities.
