Are you a dynamic and experienced Speech and Language Therapist specialising in dysphagia? Do you thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team working with school-aged children across diverse settings.

About the role:
This rewarding role offers the chance to provide highly specialist assessment and management of dysphagia in school-aged children within mainstream and special schools, clinics, and patient homes. You will work closely with families, educational colleagues, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. With additional opportunities to maintain knowledge and skills in working with pre-school children with speech, language and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for children and young people with dysphagia as well as maintaining skills and knowledge with working with children with SLCN.
2. Support parents, clients, and other professionals in all aspects of client management.
3. Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
4. Provide clinical supervision and line management to other SLTs.
5. Contribute to service development initiatives, including policies, procedures, and care pathways.
6. Deliver training to staff and families in various settings.

Essential Requirements:

1. Experience in paediatric dysphagia (RCSLT dysphagia competencies Level C or above).
2. Experience working with school-aged children.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
