Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

What you'll be doing:
- Provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) assessment and treatment for patients with physical, cognitive, communication, and behavioural difficulties caused by neurological insult and acquired brain injury.
- Devise evidence-based therapy programmes at a specialist level, emphasizing multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Independently plan and lead communication therapy groups.
- Maintain high standards of clinical care in line with national guidelines.
- Ensure cohesive goal-setting and therapy as a Named Therapist, including coordinating discharges.
- Supervise less experienced SLTs and/or assistants as per ACG policy.
- Participate in induction and training of other IDT members as appropriate.
- Uphold all relevant codes of practice and regulations.
- Contribute to policy and service development initiatives related to SLT.
- Ensure safety and protect patients' human rights.
