Position Details

This is a permanent, full-time position with the following shift pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Band 6 Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit (NRU) at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. NRU provides specialist rehabilitation for patients with neurological impairments and major trauma.

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience and keen interest in neurological rehabilitation.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate inpatient experience in neurorehabilitation.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy with current HCPC registration.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver physiotherapy to optimize mobility and function, working collaboratively with patients and their families.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team work.
  • Provide inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient clinics for rehabilitation and spasticity.
  • Engage in quality improvement projects within physiotherapy and the wider NRU services.
  • Support staff development through CPD and supervision of B5 rotational therapists, support workers, and students.
Additional Information

Hours of work are 37 per week: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
