The post holder will be based at Cygnet Kidsgrove, specifically on Crocus Ward.
Position: Band 7 (Equivalent) Occupational Therapist

Salary: £48,221 - £50,706 (DOE)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Cygnet Hospital Kidsgrove is a new hospital for women in Staffordshire, opening in May 2025, featuring two wards: a 20-bed Acute service and an 11-bed Highly Specialised Personality Disorder Rehabilitation service.
Crocus Ward provides a safe, stabilising environment for women experiencing an acute mental health episode requiring emergency admission. The ethos emphasizes least restrictive care, timely discharge planning, and supporting women in managing their mental health and daily living skills for independent living.
Our multidisciplinary team collaborates closely with patients, families, and referrers to ensure a seamless care pathway, focusing on recovery and reducing length of stay.
Burleigh Ward offers assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for women with personality disorders and complex needs, aiming to empower individuals with skills and confidence for community reintegration, with occupational therapy, social work, and vocational training as part of the approach.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop occupational therapy services on Crocus Ward, providing high-quality assessments and interventions to support patient recovery, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
The Head OT at Kidsgrove will supervise the successful candidate, who will also oversee an Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting the ward's OT services.
Led by our occupational therapy directors, supporting over 185 OTs, the team promotes professional development, specialist interest groups, and service development, with clinical leads guiding evidence-based practice and occupational therapy pathways.
