Main duties of the jobProvide the Royal Marsden Hospital with an effective and flexible nutrition and dietetic service to Children, Teenage and young adults (TYA) in and out patients unit. The post holder will be expected to deliver diet and nutritional support, hold discussions regarding complementary therapies, help support children and young people with growth and development, and promoting health being after treatments. To manage own complex dietetic clinical caseload in Paediatric Oncology / Heamato-oncology and support the caseload management of the rotational Band 6 working in this specialist area of practise. The post holder will take part in clinics, mdt meetings, ward rounds and case conferences.
The unit is a JACIE accredited haematological transplant centre with the dietitians providing support to patients before, during and after transplant. The post has a remit to contribute to the delivery of education and training to nursing and medical staff in the service and across the South Thames and South East Network, to contribute to audit ( including MDT projects) and represent the unit at national and international meetings and conferences.
