Job overview

Are you a Clinical Psychologist looking for a new challenge, then this post offers a fantastic opportunity for you to be part of the high quality and well-regarded Adult Cardiorespiratory Enhanced and Responsive Service (ACERs). The successful candidate will lead a well-established integrated Specialist Clinical Health Psychology Service for patients with chronic respiratory conditions, predominantly COPD and asthma. Although the wider ACERs Team encompasses both cardio and respiratory services, the ACERs Psychology Service is commissioned to work only with the Respiratory Service population at the current time.

Main duties of the job

The post is responsible for promoting effective psychological interventions within community settings, including providing assessment and intervention for people with chronic respiratory conditions and signposting to other services as needed. The role is fully integrated into the wider MDT and therefore involves consultation to colleagues from non-psychology disciplines, contributing to complex case discussions and multi-agency links with physical and mental health services, across primary and secondary care including community and voluntary organisations.
