Job description

Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist - Rhythm Management

Undertake a range of highly complex investigations, providing full technical analysis and interpretation of results. Ensure adherence to procedures for handling urgent and non-urgent results, supporting junior staff at all times. Participate in, or lead, the resuscitation team during emergencies in the department. Complete trial evidence in accordance with trial protocols. Write reports of investigations on the department database and supervise junior staff in report writing. Arrange investigations as required. Participate in performance reviews and attend regular Echo meetings, assisting with their organization.

Service Planning: Assist with the implementation of new services and research-based policies as needed. Clinical Governance/Quality: Support quality projects, participate in Echo audits, and provide feedback to physiologists and cardiologists. Contribute to the training of students and junior staff in all aspects of the department's work.
