A Vacancy at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

We’re looking for a confident, forward-thinking Speech and Language Therapist to join our Adult Community team in Brent as a Band 7 Highly Specialist SLT. This is a permanent post offering a real opportunity to lead and shape a supportive, dynamic service. Strong Band 6 candidates will also be considered for acting-up.

Based in a vibrant, diverse borough, the role covers domiciliary and outpatient care. You’ll take on clinical leadership, support junior staff, and drive service development alongside day-to-day clinical work. We’ll support you with regular supervision, leadership development, and CPD opportunities.

This leadership post sits within the Brent Adult Community SLT team and offers the chance to make a real impact.

You’ll lead a small team delivering high-quality outpatient and domiciliary care across a diverse caseload, with many clients speaking English as an additional language.

You’ll manage your own complex caseload, provide second opinions, and deliver highly specialist input in communication and dysphagia, with access to VFS/FEES where needed.

You’ll support clinical governance, drive service improvement, and act as a key point of contact for professional advice across the team.

  • Co-lead on service development, governance, and quality improvement projects; collaborate with local health and social care teams to deliver joint care plans.
  • Supervise staff and support team development through regular supervision and appraisal.
  • Engage in audit, research, and innovation with full support for CPD.
