Your role will involve leadership in Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary, Liver Transplant, Hepatology, and Colorectal surgery wards, working within a dynamic MDT including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, and Therapy Assistants.

We seek an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with hospital experience, excellent communication skills, teamwork ability, and an interest in service development and quality improvement.

Personal Qualities
  • • Fluent in written and oral English.
  • • Skilled in manual handling practices.

Education & professional Qualifications
  • • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • • Completion of relevant post-registration specialist courses (e.g., assessments, treatment approaches, outcome measures, supervision, practice educator).
  • • Membership of Specialist OT Section group.
Experience
  • • Substantial post-graduate experience working with physical and cognitive disabilities.
  • • Considerable experience as a Band 6 OT.
  • • Experience in an acute setting.
  • • Experience teaching and supervising staff and students.
  • • Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
  • • Motivational Interviewing/Behaviour Change training (CBT or facilitation).
