Job description

Overview

To provide a highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and a range of interventions for groups or individuals. Using highly developed specialist knowledge underpinned by theory and recognised models of practice in order to maintain a highly quality service and develop services as required.

To work as part of the health team based at Clayfields House and to work closely with both the Operational Lead and the Physical Healthcare Lead. To work alongside Clayfields House care staff to implement the secure stairs framework and take a role in supporting case management of Children and Young People.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

You will work within a complimentary Multi-Disciplinary Team providing care and treatment to Children and Young people with a range of complex needs and behaviours residing in a Secure Childrens' Home (SCH). The role will provide specialist assessments of needs, formulation, advice, consultation, education and signposting to young people, their families/carers and other members of the MDT.
