Job summary

Chubb Fire & Security is seeking a Fire and Security Engineer to cover Highlands and surrounding areas. You will service, maintain and repair fire detection and security systems at customer sites, with installation and commissioning support as required.

The role involves planning workload, ensuring safety and quality, and maintaining accurate records. A local patch, competitive pay, on-call duties, and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing fire detection alarm systems.
• Working knowledge of intruder alarms, Fire Alarms, CCTV and access-control systems.
• Ability to read and work from prepared plans, technical drawings and system documentation, and accurately record system changes.
• Ability to diagnose faults methodically and complete repairs to the required technical, quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine servicing, testing, inspection, preventative maintenance and repairs of fire detection, fire alarm and associated equipment, including emergency lighting where applicable.
• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV and access-control systems.
• Attend customer sites in response to system failures and malfunctions; diagnose faults logically and rectify them using appropriate repair or replacement methods.
• Plan and organise own workload efficiently, prioritising customer needs, safety requirements and contractual commitments.
• Complete all required electronic and paper records accurately and on time, including PDA records, customer record books, timesheets and unusual incident reports.
