Moorhill Primary School has a welcoming and highly dedicated team, committed to working in partnership with parents and the school community. We aim for children to enjoy and excel in their learning and achieve their potential in all areas of school life, including academic achievement, music, sport, and the arts.

Shaw Education Trust is a thriving group of diverse and growing schools, including Primary, Secondary, and Special Schools, all working together to improve the lives of young people in our communities. We are sponsored by Shaw Trust, a charity organization dedicated to transforming lives. We provide education to children of all ages and abilities, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed regardless of their starting point in life.

We believe that everyone has the potential to be extraordinary!

Our growing number of Primary schools within the trust continuously pursue excellence through research-based collaboration and innovation. Our developing, Trust-wide 3D Primary curriculum and pioneering Digital Strategy are designed to create inspirational, energetic, and immersive learning experiences. These enable every child to flourish within a caring, stimulating, and purposeful atmosphere, fully prepared for their next stage of life and learning.

We recognize that at primary school, the quality of teaching impacts both children’s social behavior and intellectual development. Early experiences and strong partnerships between home, pre-school, and primary school are vital in setting the foundations for success.

Unlike other MATs, we do not enforce a uniform curriculum; instead, we support each school to offer programs that deepen knowledge, develop skills, spark imagination, and foster curiosity.

Our schools span from Birmingham to Bury, supporting students from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, ensuring all children have access to high-quality education and are treated equally.

Shaw Education Trust offers the following employee benefits:

  • Excellent Local Government Pension Scheme (Support Staff) or Teachers Pension (Teaching Staff)
  • Support Staff only: Full-time, all-year employment with generous holiday entitlement from day one (37 days, rising to 39 days after 5 years, including Bank Holidays)
  • Electric Car Scheme
  • Access to Medicash Health & Wellbeing Plan
  • Discount Scheme for Teachers and Support Staff
  • Free Eye Tests
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Opportunities for professional growth through our Institute of Education and other initiatives
