Overview

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary Schools (Reading Area)

Location: Reading, Berkshire

Salary: £100–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time | Temporary & Temp-to-Perm opportunities

The Role

As an HLTA, you will support teaching and learning in and out of the classroom, deliver intervention programmes, and occasionally cover whole-class teaching where required.

  • Leading small group and 1:1 interventions in literacy and numeracy
  • Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Supporting classroom behaviour and routines
  • Assisting with planning and assessment where appropriate
  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
