Job description

Location: Portsmouth 2-form Primary School

Position: Full-time, 5 days a week (Monday - Friday)

Qualifications: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification or QTS qualification

Experience:

Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Proven experience leading lessons and managing classrooms independently

Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, ensuring their academic and emotional needs are met
Lead lessons and manage classrooms effectively in the absence of the teacher
Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment

Requirements:

HLTA Qualification or QTS qualification
Experience working with SEND pupils
Ability to independently lead lessons and manage classrooms
Availability to work Monday to Friday
