GSL Education is seeking proactive and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant -Physical Education (PE)to work in a school in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

Job Summary: A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Physical Education (PE) plays a vital role in supporting the physical development and well-being of students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of PE lessons.
• Support the PE teacher in managing the classroom and providing targeted assistance to students.
• Lead small group activities and extra-curricular sports clubs.
• Help assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE activities.
• Promote a positive and inclusive sports culture within the school.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably in a PE setting.
• Relevant qualifications, such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of various sports and physical activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Passionate about promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
