Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes when required (PPA or short-term cover)

  • Support teaching and learning across key stages through targeted interventions

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated activities for pupils with varying needs

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with SEND, EAL, or additional barriers to learning

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

  • Support behaviour management strategies and promote a positive classroom culture

  • Help assess pupil progress and contribute to learning plans and reports



Candidate Requirements

  • HLTA status (or equivalent qualification) is strongly preferred

  • Proven experience working as a TA, LSA, or HLTA in a UK school setting

  • Confidence leading whole-class learning when required

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils

  • A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach to supporting learners

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
