Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Nottingham

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for flexible work in a rewarding school environment? We are currently recruiting for a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a supply basis across schools in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality support while maintaining the flexibility that suits your lifestyle.

Location: Nottingham
Start Date: ASAP or September
Working Hours: Full-time and part-time options available
Contract Type: Supply (short-term and long-term placements)
Pay: Competitive daily rate, paid weekly

The Role:

As a HLTA, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of a teacher

  • Support the learning of pupils in both small groups and one-to-one settings

  • Assist in classroom and behaviour management

  • Work closely with teachers to support planning, assessment, and pupil progress

  • Provide support across a range of subjects and key stages

  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of each school

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or significant experience in a similar role

  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies

  • Good knowledge of the UK curriculum

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Two professional references
