Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking to hire a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work full-time at a primary school in Boldon (NE35) from September 2026. The HLTA will be based across KS1 and KS2, covering PPA sessions as well as leading small groups for intervention. The role runs until Easter 2027 with potential extension and offers supportive CPD and dedicated consultant support.

The school is a Good primary setting where children are happy and feel supported on their learning journey.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with primary school aged children.
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils.
• An ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cover PPA sessions across KS1 and KS2.
• Lead small group interventions for targeted improvement.
• Support pupils with SEND and contribute to inclusive learning.

The School and Role

Vision for Education is seeking to hire a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Boldon (NE35) from September 2026. The HLTA who is successfully appointed for the role will be based across KS1 and KS2 at school, covering PPA sessions as well as leading small groups for intervention. The role will run until the Easter break, but there could be an opportunity for this to extend too. This is a 'Good' Primary school, where staff foster a love of learning and where children feel happy and supported coming to school.
